Commutes 12 Miles RoundTrip for 1 years and months
Four or Three Days a week, I am a bike commuter Summer Time Only

BG to Riverwoods. I go east on Lake Cook road, over the railroad tracks, then head northeast on the bike bath by the golf course. Across Milwaukee and behind Riverwalk. Then hop on the Des Plaines River trail. Head south and take the overpass over Lake Cook Rd. into the Cook County Forest Preserve. At the fork, head east. This connects with Portwine Rd. From there, I go north back up to Lake Cook Rd. and arrive at work in Riverwoods. It's a nice, relaxing ride. Every day I see deer in the forest preserve. The trail has been flooded a few times after heavy rain. Depending on traffic, it can defintely take less time than driving. The fun part is when I'm on my way home and westbound Lake Cook is a parking lot. I get to just zip on by. The sidewalk on the north side of Lake Cook is very wide. I think it would be too dangerous to ride on the road itself.
