Commutes 12 Miles RoundTrip for 1 years and months
Four or Three Days a week, I am a bike commuter Year Round

First 2 or 3 miles quiet residential. Then the bottleneck under the Interstate and on to Downtown. I use different routes depending on errands, etc. No bike routes of any sort exist in my part of Columbus and none are ever planned. This ride is never boring, although I often wish it were.

I'm 46 years old, male and married. I'm a member of my local Green Party. Most of my riding since I was 11 years old has been for "transportation" purposes, although I have done some recreational riding. I own a car which doesn't get much use, although I drive in the evening if I need to go further than a mile or so.

I don't know quite where to start. I will say that I've had a strong positive response to my recumbent, which I've been riding off and on for over a year. I love it. I'll be putting it in storage for the winter, though, and riding a bike I got at a yard sale last summer. The recumbent has high-pressure tires with very small tread. I need the traction of the mountain bike for "sloppy" days in the Ohio winter.
