Commutes 21 Miles RoundTrip for years and 9 months
Four or Three Days a week, I am a bike commuter Year Round

2-lane, no-shoulder rural and town roads, slightly hilly. Most motorists seem to "expect" me now. I am especially visible in the dark mornings, using multiple head and tail lamps and reflective material. I have been known to howl at the moon while riding...

Late 50's; bicycle replaced motorcycle as preferred commuter. Also enjoy longer weekend rides. I mostly ride an EZ-1 recumbent, but also have a vintage 10-speed Raleigh.

I have been told that the five blinking red taillights make it look to an overtaking motorist like he is coming up on a fire scene. Since i went for overkill, motorists really give me a brake and a wide berth when passing.

The riding is good for 10 pounds weight loss per month, without any dieting! The more you ride, the less steep or long the hills seem!
