Commutes 10 Miles RoundTrip for 12 years and months
Seven days a week, my bike is my primary transportation Year Round

I live in a small town in southwest Colorado and my commute begins each morning at the center of town, and ends on a campus surrounded by forest acreage and farms. There is only one direct route to work (Crow Canyon) as work is at the end of a back road that has only recently been paved. So, I get to ride on city streets for a moment, on Hwy 666 for about a mile (491 now if you're looking it up, but many locals still call it 666), on a gnarly chip-sealed road for about a mile or two, and then a tiny bit of dirt road at the end. The ride is very hilly with two particularly steep (but short--just long enough put the sweat in the ride) hills sprinkled in with the other milder hills. The total one-way commute is right at 5 miles. The gym is on the way and only adds a very unnoticeable jog off the track. It's worth mentioning that this commute features lovely mountain views (including fabulous sunsets and storms over Mesa Verde), coming and going, to make the ride nice even on the lower energy days.
