I live in Culver City and work at USC. I commute on Class 1 bike path for the first few miles up Ballona Creek and then along Rodeo and Exposition which have no bike paths, but are sufficiently wide for commuting.
I ride a Rans Stratus XL recumbent bicycle. I also have a handcyle that I use for exercise and leisure rides but not yet for commuting (it's a little too invisible to cars.)
Well, let's see, I was recently spat upon by a cab driver...
