Bike-friendly to Shoreline drive where I pick up the bike path. Pass the Port of Long Beach HQ to below Ocean Boulevard and cut between the Hyuandai Terminal and OB. Walk my bike up the stairs to the mile-long (and seemingly high - with designs for greater height) Gerald Desmond Bridge. Out of traffic but for crossings near my downtown beachview condo and until crossing Ocean a half mile after the bridge. Then, the trucks where I work are gunning for the big, orange target on my back for the last mile. Pollution is worst from the bridge on in.
