Commutes 20 Miles RoundTrip for 2 years and months
Four or Three Days a week, I am a bike commuter Year Round

In the morning, I'll bike on the roads, following backroads til I get about 2.5 miles from work, then I pick up a NJDSWC water line and ride the trails til I get to work, crossing some Railroad tracks (freight) along the way. I ride mostly road just to save time. In the evening after work, I ride the trail, following the same water line NW to get home. At the Passaic River, I will pick up the Newark-Pompton Turnpike just to cross the river since the RR bridge is in disarray. Then I'll pick up an abandoned RR line to continue north, go under Rt 23 and into Riverdale. Then I exit the path and pick up a bike lane for a few feet before going another 2 miles to get home.

1995 Marin team steel bike with Marzochhi Bomber Z2 fork, my first hardtail is now my commuter Semislicks in the summer and full knobbies in the winter. Old Man Mountain Red Rocks rack with Carradice Super-C panniers. Also used as a touring bike.
