My commute to work mostly uses rural country roads. I have a brief (about a mile) that I ride with fairly heavy morning and afternoon rush hour traffic. Much of my route is through PA farm country where I enjoy the cows, horses, geese, etc.
I work as a Technology Support Specialist for a local school district's computer network. Commuting to and from my job has helped greatly in reducing the daily stress level one has in this type of job. Outside of my commuting, my husband and I ride tandem bicycle and helped form a tandem club for our area.
This winter, I purchased a pair of Nokian studded snow tires for my mountain bike and was able to commute throughout the winter months. Riding during a falling snow is absolutely beautiful.
