I travel to the train station, where I catch the train to my job in NYC. I use a bike route mapped out by signs. It's mostly suburban roads with one small section that is a bike speciffic path. I've seen deer, hundreds of rabbits and even been hissed at and chased by a mother goose. |
| About_me |
With my long rail commute to the office Commuting to the train station is an Ideal way to get a workout in. I ride a new Marin "urban" series bike that I bought just for "tooling around" and commuting. It's basically a moutain bike without the knobby tires, but it's sturdy and offers a more comfortable position than my racing bike that I no longer have time to ride during the week. The bike since it has 26" tires is slower than I'm used to, but I find that I get a good workout because of that. I carry my my clothers for the day in a courrier bag and change in the handicap stall at the Hamilton train station. This works out ok, the only problem being that the bag gets a little heavy since I have some kind of fetish and need to wear a different pair of shoes each day. I like biking to the train and can see that this is something that I am going to try to do throughout the year. |
