Wide, flat, two lane streets with fairly heavy traffic. The route is quieter within a few blocks of home, of course. Overall, a safe, easy commute when not icy (I drive then). |

There are three things I really enjoy about commuting by bicycle. First is the low environmental impact, in terms of both air and noise pollution. Second, the exercise is something we all can use (I work next door to a burger joint, previously a doughnut shop). Third, the time alone to work out things on my mind and see my city without the rose colored safety glass in my car is refreshing. |
