My commute starts on a through street in my neighborhood with a bike lane, then goes through the historic district and into downtown where I work. The worst part is trying to cross highway 29 ( 2nd Avenue ). I go an extra block to hit the stoplight if traffic is especially bad. |
| About_me |
I ride an 80's model Bianchi road bike. It is perfect for my commute. It's friction shift, but everything performs flawlessly despite its age. |

I enjoy the openess commuting affords. I can speak to my neighbors and I ride past and see them in their yards, wave at other cyclists and pedestrians. I love seeing and smelling the flowers and honeysuckle in the spring and summer while I ride. |
