I have commuted by bike in pensacola and jacksonville, fl, as well as norfolk, va. current route is flat with one big overpass in mayport, fl. about 1/4 is sidewalk due to high traffic volume, the rest is bike lane. |

riding home from work in pensacola on a rails-to-trails route, i came across a small fawn that appeared to be disoriented. i stopped, set my helmet on the ground and went to get closer to the fawn, which ran off. i put my helmet back on and learned a very valuable lesson - dont set your gear on the ground in florida - i had fire ants crawling around and stinging my head! |
