I ride my Specialized hotrock F1 AS 26" etc... mountain bike to and from Blaine K-8 where I am an 8th grade student. I ride every day except when its raining because with my last bike I learned a bad lesson about rust. The trip is about 4 miles round trip and takes place in a suburban rich white neighborhood, so needless to say there's lots of soccer moms in SUVs trying to get wherever they're going in a hurry. But aside from the occasional glass bottle, psychotic dog, or aggressive bush, the commute is always fun and i do it as much as possible. I also ride around Magnolia on the weekends & after school a lot. |

On the first day I rode my hotrock, Dec. 23 last year, I was about a 6th of a mile away from my garage when I rode straight over a broken glass bottle in a parking lot and blew out my rear tire. O the joy. |
