Just started last week doing a partial bike commute. I'm 20 miles from work in the unbike-friendly suburbs of North Atlanta. So I'm driving about 15 miles in to park in a shopping center. Then biking the remaining 5 on a nice divided 4 lane with bike lanes. Gwinnett County has been progressive in its thinking and added bike lanes to several of the roads in the county. |

I know Big John from the Clydesdale running list. I'm another extra large guy that enjoys running and biking. And I appreciate the stories and advice available from the group here. |

Hopefully my commutes continue to be very dull. Bike commuting excitement I don't need. :-) |

I've found the bike commute to be a pleasant warm-up before a morning run. We've got a new fitness center here at work. I've been coming in early to work-out and noticed that on the days I bike in, the run goes smoother. |
