| Commute_routes |
Mostly main roads, usually 2 lanes, speed limit 35-45mph. Usually riding a fixed gear or track bike or an old road bike. I typically run a multitude of lights at night. |
| About_me |
Too fat, too slow, but I try to do 100-200 miles a week and, of course, to ride whenever feasable. If I use a car at all it's maybe once or twice a week, and barring blizzards (although I do ride in snow) I usually ride every day. |
| Commute_story |
Left hooked by a driver with an "international" license (no American license) back in July. Recovering from shoulder surgery, the people were puzzled at the guy with the arm in the sling riding until I told them it only stops hurting when I'm on the bike!
But the funny one was when I was waiting in traffic and a guy in a car alongside asked me about my bike. Made my day! |
